BP1 - San Diego and Water

San Diego is currently in a drought
San Diego has a desert climate. Rain is rare in SD. Because San Diego is a desert, most of its water comes from hundreds of miles away.

San Diego is projected to double its population by 2050. Because the city will have 2 million residents, San Diego needs to produce more water. The plan to produce more water includes:

  • conservation (saving water)
  • recycle water
  • desalination

BP1 - Water & San Diego

Much of SD's water comes from far away
San Diego is essentially a desert climate. There is very little rain in San Diego compared to San Francisco. Because San Diego is a desert, much of San Diego's water comes from hundreds of miles away.

Why the United States Joined WWI

The United States joined WWI in 1917
An example of an introduction

World War One officially started in Europe in 1914. For the first time ever the world was a war. Before 1914 most wars were between countries sharing borders. No longer was that to be true. Then. Now. Future.

Because of the outcome of WWI, the United States became the most powerful military the world has ever known.

The United States came into the war three years after it had started in 1917.
